Complications

A diabetes diagnoses can seem scary for you and your loved ones, making learning of possible diabetes complications even more overwhelming.

At The Medicine Shoppe® pharmacy, we want you to be informed of the risks so you can make better decisions about your personal blood glucose goals, concentrate on complication prevention and live a happier, healthier life.

Did You Know?

  • People with both Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes can have complications.
  • Some people have complications and some do not.
  • How long you have had diabetes and how well controlled your blood glucose is will influence whether you develop complications. Studies show that some health problems can be delayed or prevented with improved glucose control. If your blood glucose levels are near the normal range, you are giving yourself the best chance for good health.
  • Since many complications can be treated, early detection is very important.
